Not sure about this
I'm really not sure about this blog. I have a lot of things going on and most of them are going on in other places. I feel a little nostalgic about this blog because I started it as an emotional purge several years ago, and I don't really want to say goodbye to it. Even though I deleted all those posts. Haha.
But seriously. Most of my developments, career-wise, are with DawgArt. So I report there. And also with writing. So I report the writing stuff here. Plus I started that mommy blog. That's three blogs. THREE to update weekly. And I've been doing it. Mostly.
So I'm not sure about this little corner of cyberspace. Should I just give it all up? Should I just say, "Thank you, somethinglikeart, you have served a purpose, but now we must go our separate ways? Or should I hang onto it? I mean, I started TreadingWords because I needed a place to document the developments in writing. I suppose I could add the illustration stuff there. Since they will be combined anyway in the novel.
Yes, the novel is progressing again. After the release of my first short story collection, and much work on the second collection, which should be done by the end of this week, I have jump-started the novel. It was in a coma for about a year. And I promised myself I wouldn't feel guilty about it. But after being invited to read the first chapter aloud at an event last summer and being asked by several people in the audience if the book would have illustrations, I decided that it would. Yes, of course, why not? Why not, as Geary would say, make things harder for myself?
So I'm not sure what I'll do with this blog. The title is rad. And I started to discover the real me here. So it's an important place.
This is a weird post. I'm going to go read a book.

Little Miss Muffet
Little Miss Muffet, sat on her tuffet
to have a cup of tea.
Her spider friends then dangled down
to fill their cups for free.

Original Fiction series: 1
So I don't know how many of you know I am a writer as well as an artist. I have been working on a collection of short stories to release on ebook and the time is coming near! I am hoping to release my book by the end of the year and in the meantime, I have started to create illustrations for the project, one illustration per story for a least six stories.
Here is the first illustration:
To read the story, stay tuned and get the book when it comes out. It will be 99 cents, which is a smokin' deal, considering that I write really good stories. Seriously.
Anyway, this illustration was created with acrylic, ink and Painter 12.
